WOW — love this site, I’ve been looking for you ever since a friend told me about a guy (or a group of guys) who hacked XBoxs to install Linux.
So happy to have found this.
Hi. Do you have a YouTube channel or any other Reddit or similar where you post about your projects? Will be great resource for learners. Thanks.
Keeper up the excellent work!
This is very quickly becoming my favourite go to C= website, just incredible!
quote from this site:
A company named “ARESCO” offered a 6 KB RAM-based assembler for the KIM-1 that may have been based on the MOS Resident Assembler. According to the documentation of the Apple II version, the supported directives and error codes matched the MOS Resident Assembler, and some sources call it the “MOS/ARESCO” assembler. Unfortunately, no dumps are known.
I still have the printed source code included with an “Aresco” editor and assembler that I bought for my KIM-1 about 1980 if anyone wants it.
Hi, I’m a guy who is passionate about technology, music, games, anime and manga. Lately I enjoy ”experimenting” with operating systems. It all started after I installed Linux (Zorin OS) instead of Windows on my Lenovo IdeaPad 3. I wanted to do more or less the same thing with an XBox Series S that I have had since 2021, I just don’t know much, but I wanted to install a Linux operating system on an XBox Series S console, to be able to use it as a full-fledged PC. In summary I ask you if and how feasible it is to install Linux on an XBox Series S and if you can try to help me (without videos, only with instructions, also because I’m not a Youtuber).
I thought I’d turn to you, since, from what I read online, you worked on the first XBox Linux Project
